Yikes! That these items exist for purchase is sad. Talk about wasteful consumerism.
I think we should adopt the odd/even arrangement we had during the Arab Oil Embargo. Born in an even year, celebrate Christmas on December 25th. Born in an odd year, celebrate Christmas on the 4th of July. Better balance to the economy, and kids get more excited.
