I’m going to be reading and trying to stay cool-ish…these 90+ degree days and I do not get along.
I plan to sit back & enjoy the many blooming shrubs and flowers in our yard. Now is the time to reap joys like watching a hummingbird on the hibiscus when I look up from the book that I am reading.
In Myrtle Beach, SC. The better news is the first few days of fall will be spent in Portland, ME.
Putting the garden away for the winter. Collecting and spreading the lupine and columbine seeds, and hiking in the woods.
Welcoming my daughter visiting from Croatia, where it’s also 90 degrees!
Sigh, the end of summer. I’ll be savoring each moment in the garden, making pesto to freeze, looking for monarch butterflies, and hiking on the many beautiful Maine trails…when I’m not reading a good Maine mystery, of course.
I’m hoping to attend a State Fair.

It is the hope that we are able to travel to Shipshewana, IN – a place we love going to relax and to enjoy the Amish food and friendships. This year our timing is in connection to the draft horse competition. Just hoping the Covid situation doesn’t change our plans for us. Other wise, I’m content to sit on the covered porch with the ceiling fans on, something cold to drink close at hand and a good book in my hands occasionally entertained by our daily critter visitors (which range form hummingbirds to bobcats).
