Win a Book Wednesday from Maggie!

Yes, it is I, two days in a row. The fourth and final Lady Adelaide Mystery, Farewell Blues, releases September 14.

Some comments on the 1920s-set series:

From Charles Todd, “If you like a clever mystery, this is just your cup of English murder.”

From Kirkus: “Filled with local color, red herrings, both sprightly and spritely, a smidgeon of social commentary, and a climactic surprise.”

From Publishers Weekly: “This series is frothy fun.” “Sparkling.”

From Fresh Fiction: “Maggie Robinson strikes the right chord between cozy mystery fun and malevolence and murder.”

Want to find out for yourself, a whole month early? I’ll send a signed copy of Farewell Blues to one randomly-picked  commenter! Tell me how you’re going to spend the last days of summer. The winner will be announced in the weekend update on Saturday. You can check out the rest of the books on my website, www.maggierobinson.net

  1. Lynn Harlan says:

As Summer days come to a close,
I find myself reaching for prose.
Perched on porch, teacup in hand,
    Gazing out almost glimmering sand.

  2. Gram says:

I’m going to be reading and trying to stay cool-ish…these 90+ degree days and I do not get along.

  3. Alice says:

I plan to sit back & enjoy the many blooming shrubs and flowers in our yard. Now is the time to reap joys like watching a hummingbird on the hibiscus when I look up from the book that I am reading.

  4. Bruce says:

In Myrtle Beach, SC. The better news is the first few days of fall will be spent in Portland, ME.

  5. kaitcarson says:

Putting the garden away for the winter. Collecting and spreading the lupine and columbine seeds, and hiking in the woods.

  6. Barbara Salmore says:

Welcoming my daughter visiting from Croatia, where it’s also 90 degrees!

  7. Heather Elizabeth says:

Sigh, the end of summer. I’ll be savoring each moment in the garden, making pesto to freeze, looking for monarch butterflies, and hiking on the many beautiful Maine trails…when I’m not reading a good Maine mystery, of course.

  8. Jean says:

I’m hoping to attend a State Fair.

  9. judy says:

“Summertime and the living is easy…” and I am reading whenever I can!
Thanks to George Gershwin for the inspiration…and one of my favorite songs!

  10. KarenM says:

I enjoyed the first two books in this series. Looking forward to the rest.

  11. Jane Nelson says:

I love this series, and can’t wait to read this book!

  12. Kay Garrett says:

It is the hope that we are able to travel to Shipshewana, IN – a place we love going to relax and to enjoy the Amish food and friendships. This year our timing is in connection to the draft horse competition. Just hoping the Covid situation doesn’t change our plans for us. Other wise, I’m content to sit on the covered porch with the ceiling fans on, something cold to drink close at hand and a good book in my hands occasionally entertained by our daily critter visitors (which range form hummingbirds to bobcats).

Thank you for the fabulous chance to win a copy of “Farewell Blues”. Love the cover and the era it’s written in. Shared but hoping to be the fortunate one selected.

  13. Pat Dupuy says:

I’ll probably spend the last of summer the same way I spent the start of summer: reading indoors in the a/c dodging the heat, humidity, and occasional Saharan dust.
