Zainab’s piece is about the transformation in her life, and between her in the past and her now. She wrote it in The Telling Room group, Young Writers and Leaders program.
Her name is Zainab Almatwari, a student at Westbrook High School. She is 14 years old, a freshman. She likes to write, and specially poems. She started writing poems since June/2015. She is from Iraq, and lives in Westbrook. Her favorite poet and playwrights is William Shakespeare. She started loving him since 5 years old when her aunt reads her a book of his book each night. One of Zainab’s favorite quotes, is: ” To be or not to be.”
