Lea Wait – An Update

We know that our MCW readers are thinking of Lea, as we are, and wanted to share this brief update about her condition. At the moment, she is having in-home hospice, with pain meds every four hours. All four of her daughters are with her. She is unable to respond to e-mails or take phone calls, but wants us to know that she appreciates the e-mails and messages of love and support that readers and friends are sending.

  29. My Chatham Sister, unfortunately, we all come to a time for farewells… I’ve loved getting to know you since the outstanding reunion in ‘08 (?). You received the major award, and I got to sing with Harold Betters whom I’d loved since 1966 when I turned 21… When I need strength and/or time to prepare, I turn to two sets of verses. Ph. 4:4-13+19 every day and Psalm 139:1-18 when it’s time to go be with your hloved ones. Wish I could send you an angel

  30. Oh, man, I couldn’t open this post right away. Thank you for all you’ve done and the incredible grace with which you’ve lived your life. Authors live forever, but you will be missed by so many.
    Love and gentle hugs.
