Windjammer Days

by Barb, in Maine at last

It’s Windjammer Days in Boothbay Harbor. My husband, Bill Carito, has gotten deep into iPhone photography, so we took a Balmy Days harbor tour billed especially for photographers. The day was foggy and damp, but you know you’re with a group of photographers when everyone boards the boat, looks up at the sky, and says, “Perfect day!”

Here are some of Bill’s photographs of the day. If you like what you see and want to see more, you can friend him on Facebook here or follow him on Instagram at billcarito (for black and white) and bill.carito.colorphotos (for color).

Enjoy!

The pictures are amazing. Love the third one- it reminds me of a scene in the 1800’s -a schooner coming home after a long journey. The tugboat looks more like a painting than a photo..
Please thank for Bill for sharing.
    Happy Fourth to All.

I know. The third and fourth ones evoke the feeling of standing on the shore in the era of sail and seeing one of these beauties glide into port.

  8. Great photos! Yes, they would be very different with a sunny sky and sparkling water.

Hi Barb and Bill!!! These are incredible photos of a beautiful place. I am waving hi to you on this Fourth of July week end from NJ. I find Maine to be lovely in so many ways, and I am really reconsidering my dreams of moving West to moving North.. I hope it’s sunny and gorgeous up there.
