Just wanted to give myself a shout-out … this past week, I submitted a short story (which is set in Maine) to Level Best Books for consideration to be included in this year’s anthology of New England crime stories!

While I don’t live in Maine, we have come up there for the last several summers, initially in the York / Ogunquit area, and then migrating north to the Camden / Rockport section — we love it! And this website continues to be a source of encouragement and support … thank you!!

So now I’m done with patting myself on the back … I’m returning to work on my next story!

    • Congratulations on finishing the story, submitting it, and starting the next one. Be sure to keep us in the loop on all your writing news. If you’re spending part of your summer here, you definitely count as a “Maine Writer.”
