Kate Flora sometimes suspects that few of you out there are actually reading our updates, so I’m sneaking something in here. One person who leaves a comment during the upcoming week will win him or herself one of the very first, hot off the presses, copies of the group novel she wrote with four other crime writers. Kate, Lise McClendon, Taffy Cannon, Gary Phillips, and Katy Munger teamed up to write a novel about a serial killer who is knocking off famous TV chefs. The book is Beat, Slay, Love by Thalia Filbert. Bound to be a best seller and likely made into a movie, or at least to make you laugh. You heard it here first.

I have come to expect sneaky things from crime writers, good thinking.
I usually comment about once a week, so that works for me. 🙂
Even when I’m not commenting, I’m digesting. Days, weeks, months after reading entries, a tip by Kate, Barb, Lea, Kaitlyn, etc. makes me re-think, focus, work harder.
That sounds like a book we’ve got to have! We could use it as a door prize. I don’t comment but I try to read every day. From the author updates, recipes, writing ideas, pictures, glimpses into your lives, more about Maine, history, how to’s and lots more. There’s always something new to learn, enjoy, ponder. Thank you for sharing yourselves and your expertise!

Yes, I would love to read a good group-written mystery. I love cooking shows and love watching chefs do their thing so why not add a little murder spice to the concoction. You send it, I’ll read it!
