Weekend Update: March 21-22, 2015

fallsbooks1Next week at Maine Crime Writers there will be posts by Lea Wait (Monday), Al Lamanda (Tuesday), Barb Ross (Wednesday), Dorothy Cannell (Thursday), and Katherine Hall Page (Friday).

In the news department, here’s what’s happening with some of us who blog regularly at Maine Crime Writers:

If you’re not sure you’re up for an all-day conference, but you’d love to meet Maine’s crime writers and/or try out your deathless prose why not come to the Friday night pre-Crime Wave social at the Portland Public Library on April 10? Here are the details::

Two Minutes in the Slammer April 10 event

The link to the pre-Crime Wave social seems to be broken. I get a ‘this page is not available’ message. I’d love to come — can somebody fix the link?

  2. Heidi Wilson says:

Whoops! Further data on the broken link: I can’t click on the link in my email (I follow the blog), but the one at your blogsite works fine. This is a problem for someone who, unlike me, lives in the 21st century.

    • Morning, Heidi. It took awhile for the penny to drop, since I’m a techno-dinosaur myself, but here’s what I think happened. After I posted the blog in the wee hours of the morning, I tested the link at the site. When it didn’t work, I went in and fixed it. However, in those few minutes, the emails to subscribers must have automatically gone out . . . with the malfunctioning link included. Sorry about that. NOTE TO ALL THE MCW GANG–test all links by using the preview function ahead of time.
