Sunday Update: July 28, 2013

Next week at Maine Crime Writers we’ll be featuring posts from Gerry Boyle (Monday), Kaitlyn Dunnett (Tuesday), Vicki Doudera (Wednesday), Lea Wait (Thursday), James Hayman (Friday) and on Saturday, special guest Chris Holm.

In news from Maine Crime Writers, Kaitlyn Dunnett’s new Liss MacCrimmon mystery will be in stores and available as an ebook on July 30, the same day she’s blogging here. Vampires, Bones, and Treacle Scones is set at Moosetookalook, Maine’s Halloween festival. There’s a drawing to give away a signed hardcover. All you have to do to be entered is leave a comment. Kaitlyn will also be a guest blogger, writing in the persona of Liss MacCrimmon, at Dru’s Book Musings on Monday. She’ll be giving away a signed hardcover at that location, too.

Not strictly “crime” but definitely “Maine” and “writers” news: The Romance Writers of America recently held their annual convention and among those honored was the “librarian of the year.” This year the award went to Sarah Whitten of the Bangor Public Library for creating “Not Your Ordinary Book Group.” Cudos to Sarah for her support of genre fiction.

I love the cover on this book! Seems as if I’ve been waiting forever for a Liss update.

    • Thanks, Tess. I like the cover, too, especially since it shows Liss’s cat, Lumpkin, and a new character, Papelbon the dog. Look for my post on Tuesday
for more about Halloween in July.

      Kathy/Kaitlyn

I can’t wait even though I’ll have to. I just enjoy Liss’s books. But I must say that I really enjoy all your writings.
