Maine’s Indy Film Business…sort of. by Julia Spencer-Fleming

Did you know Maine has a burgeoning independent film business? Yes! With promising young directors and Maine-based actors and film festivals and everything.

Today, I’m going to share with you the trailer for a film that, sadly, has yet to be made in full. Written, produced and filmed entirely in Maine, ladies and gentlemen, I present:

TREE-LEAPING POISONOUS KILLER VIPERS IN MAINE!!11!

Written and Directed by Victoria Hugo-Vidal

Starring, in order of appearance:

Anna Berks as The Promiscuous Teen and her Promiscuous Sister

Ross Hugo-Vidal as the Evil Mastermind and his twin brother, The Maine Forest Ranger

Virginia Hugo-Vidal as The Innocent Child

Julia Spencer-Fleming as The Forest Ranger’s Wife

Victoria Hugo-Vidal as The Plucky Young Herpetologist (she’s not that kind of doctor)

Spencer Hugo-Vidal as Random Guy Who Arrive Late and Wanted A Part

Maybe the director should try funding it through Kickstart?

It really does put my videos of creeping slugs to shame. On the other hand…slugs may be more dangerous.

  4. Loved it! Yes, make a full-length feature. Julia and Ross, I foresee boffo box office and… *whispers* Oscars.
